what am i talking about? French Bread! the recipe at first intimidated me greatly - SO many instructions, via Julia Child's recipe! however, once you read it through and just take it one step at a time, it's not intimidating at all and it's really an enjoyable dough to work with.
Et voila - a picture of the finished product. Sort of lumpy looking in the picture, although in real life the loaf looked a little better. I will definitely make this again, with an adjustment of about half the amount of salt called for in the recipe.
